Wrong Car? Say What?

So what do you do when you end up getting the wrong car?

This afternoon I found a Mini that I loved! It had basically everything I was looking for in a car, specifically a Mini.  I set up a test drive and even went so far to see what financing would be.

Here's what I found ... Isn't it super cute?

Love that it was small, with a sunroof, 3 doors (so a small door for Bug), barn doors for the trunk.  Super-Cute!!

So we get to CarMax, meet with our guy, and get ready to do the test drive.  We get outside and hop right in the car and begin the test drive.  Runs super smooth, sunroof, super cute.

We get back and begin signing all the paperwork.  While we are sitting there after the test drive, I'm thinking ot myself, "hum we didn't even check the 3rd door to see how that will work."  "Will it be more problems then it's worth to have that little 3rd door instead of 4 doors like a normal sedan I'm used to?"

The car is off being detailed, getting the tags on the car, and we head out to drive away and I'm like..... um this isn't our car.  The guy was like, yes this is what you test drove.  I wasn't convinced.  I knew for a fact I wanted the 3 doors, with barn door trunk, so I walked around to the trunk and it wasn't a barn door so I was so lost, confused, and shocked. I kinda spaced it and didn't know what to do or what to say.

This is what I saw...

It's still super cute. I like the way it drives. But it not being what I was expecting is really causing some anxiety within me.  Can I like this car as much as one I didn't even see?

Needless to say, I think having a 3 door would just cause more issues then it's worth with a kid.  Someone would always have to close the front door after the little back door was closed.  I don't mind the trunk, I'm short enough that the tailgate opens high enough over me that I won't be bumping my head.  I've never had barn doors before on a trunk so not even sure I'd like those either.

It's just an adjustment I'm going to have to get used to.  There's a reason everything happens, and there's a reason we ended up with this Mini instead of the other one that I thought we were getting.  Whether I understand the reason now or if ever is beyond me.  I just know that I'm grateful for what I have and all the blessings the Lord provides me and my family. ....... Plus I can see how much my hubby loves it, so, needless to say, I'm going to keep the car we were blessed with in such a strange way and enjoy it with my family.
